Matt,
Thanks for the heads up. I haven't used concrete5 before but I feel like I've seen it. Have you used it?

Hey Josh,
If you're good with design but want something to easily manage content, check out Concret5 CMS http://www.concrete5.org/

Once you have the design created it's not too terrible to add the little bits of PHP code into the design and then use the CMS to manage the rest of the content and whatnot. It's a very user friendly backend for your end user, which is nice.

Enjoy!

Josh,

I'm someone who's just getting into web design, and I have the same frustration as you. I know PHP, but we're more 'acquaintances' than we are 'best friends'. I am all about making a website look clean, slick, and uncluttered on the front-end. About two months ago, I set out to redesign my website with a good CMS, and stumbled upon Joomla!

I don't know if you've ever used this CMS, but it's quite nice for markup and not too shabby on the CSS, although some of the modules can be a bit of a pain the butt. At any rate, it's worth checking out, and if you'd like to see some of the stuff you can produce with it, you can check out my work-in-process revamped site at www.eleora.info.

At any rate, if you're in the Salt Lake City area (I assume so, since you designed Amy's site), I'd love to get together over coffee sometime and chat. If you're interested, hit me up at the e-mail posted with this.

Holla!
Spencer

P.S. If you wanna delete this after you've digested it, feel free too...it just made sense to me to write you a freaking letter as a blog comment...it's 11:36p, I'm tired...
